Boulder Nordic Sport hereby challenges everybody in the whole world to a race, this Wednesday (tomorrow), February 16th at the regularly scheduled Eldora Nighthawks event. If you don't show up we'll call you chicken. Details inside.
Think you're pretty tough? We don't! Come race our chosen BNS champions Wednesday night. If you beat them we'll do a free full, full, full race service wax job for you at the race of your choice (provided we're in attendence).
Men's Challenge - Guys, you're up against BNS owner and legend Nathan Schultz. Rumor has it he's still nursing an arm-wrestling injury from the Boulder Mountain Tour after party, and he's saying he might have to race without poles. Big deal. Let's see what you've got!
Women's Challenge - The defending Nighthawks World Champion of the Universe, Amy Caldwell, will by flying the BNS flag. But she raced twice this weekend in Aspen, and she's actually a lot older than she looks.
Neutral wax support will be provided by Gunnar Caldwell and Olivia Schultz prior to the start. They may be assisted by Zach, unless he's in the car watching a video, or vice-versa. Stop by and we'll put the same stuff on your skis that Nathan and Amy are skiing on. We promise (really).
The BNS Van will also be heading up for the race, so please leave your car and join us for the fun. The Van will depart from the parking lot at Canyon and Pearl at 4:35, so be there and ready to roll no later than 4:30 to load up. We'll be heading back down to town shortly after the race. Please bring $3 to contribute to the arm-wrestling recovery fund if you hop on the BNS bus.
Rules:
All participants must be entered in the official Eldora Nighthawks event. (BNS does not operate the Nighthawks race). One winner only per sex. No cross dressing. No bribing the waxers with candy. Lenka is not eligible. Absolutely no calling the shop to ask any questions about this challenge. Just show up. Seriously.
Bring It On!
