Testing Based Recommendation
Recommendation
We recommend the following:
Base Layer: Ski*Go LF Graphite
Race Paraffin: Ski*Go HF Orange
Fluoro Powder: Ski*Go C44/7 Powder
Topcoat: Ski*Go C22 Block
Kick: Toko Green Binder and Ski*Go HF Violet or Rode Super Blue
Testing Discussion – We re-tested paraffins and powders this morning at the start in Ishpeming. Temperature was 25 degrees F. We have updated our recommendation based on these results and the forecast for the morning. A dusting of new snow is increasingly likely over the evening and into tomorrow. With high humidity called for tomorrow this snow will likely have plenty of moisture in it. Ski*Go HF Orange has been running well in our tests since we have been here and will be an excellent choice for the new snow. Ski*Go C44/7 powder was a clear winner this morning and given the humid forecast for the morning, we are confident that it will run well tomorrow. A topcoat of Ski*Go C22 Block is recommended for those looking for the extra speed in the first part of the race. For kick we liked Ski*Go HF Violet this morning as well as Rode Super Blue. Check in with us in the morning at the start for a final wax call for kick. Also, call our BNS Mobile phone at 303 656 3886 for any questions about our recommendation or testing.

note: BNS imports Holmenkol and SkiGo waxes, and also sells waxes from Swix, Toko, Rode, Solda, Rex, Guru, Innovax, Magnar and others. We search for the fastest waxes for our customers and our testing is professional, objective and transparent. We make our best effort to test what we think is the best from each brand. However, given that we are testing more options from Holmenkol and SkiGo, there is a bias toward those brands. With this full disclosure, you can assess the legitimacy of our testing yourself. Visit Swix and Toko for their official recommendations. If you have any questions please contact us.
