Ski Details
Fischer RCS Classic is a great all-around performer and the first pair
of skis that should be in any quiver. The RCS Classic uses the 812 mold
to produce an "on/off" kick that can be easily put to the snow by
shifting the weight onto the ball of the foot. The 812 camber reduces
the threshold power required to get solid grip, yet releases the snow
once weight is shifted back to the heel. An incredible ski that is easy
to kick, fast, stable and lightweight and performs in all kinds of
conditions.
Comes in Fischer Plus (28) base or Cold (A5) base. The Plus base
performs well in all conditions, but should be ground colder if planned
use will be in cold. The A5 base is excellent at cold temps, but not as
great when the snow has excess moisture, so cold skis are only a good
choice as a primary universal ski in cold regions such as the Rockies
and Midwest. Picked well, the cold skis tend to have a very nice soft
finish that is buttery smooth and a pleasure to kick.
192cm to 207cm in 5cm increments. Soft, Medium and Stiff Flex. Plus (28) and Cold (A5) base.
This is the NIS model which means that there is an NIS plate
mounted on the top. Any binding can be mounted on this ski: Salomon
Pilot, Profil or NNN Xcelerator.
We hand-select every pair of RCS skis that we sell. This is a
painstaking, expensive process, but it ensures that your skis will match
what experience tells us makes an especially good ski. We have
invested heavily in the development of custom ski testing equipment that
allows us to evaluate skis on a number of key benchmarks. Combine that
with hands that have squeezed thousands of pairs of skis over the
years, bodies that have raced thousands of kilometers in every snow
condition imaginable, and minds that have been consumed by skiing for 20
years, and you get world-class service.
Selecting top-quality skis is only the beginning, however. We can
coach you through the process of selecting a ski and lend our expertise
to help you choose a ski that will complement your existing fleet and
give you maximum performance in the desired snow conditions. Once you
have decided on a ski, if we don't have a perfect match in our
inventory, we will special-order the ski and hand-select it to fit your
specifications precisely.
If you do not know what length or flex you want, pick something
that seems close and we will pick the correct size and flex for you
after talking to you on the phone and determining exactly what you are
looking for. We call for every hand-selected ski to ensure you get the
best fit and performance.
