The new for Salomon S-Lab Skate Pro Boot is the culmination of 3 years of development and evolves the highly-successful S-Lab platform to a new level.
UK sizing in 1/2-size increments. We recommend sizing down 1/2 size compared to the S-Lab of 2006, 2007 or 2008. For 2010-2011, we have a limited selection of "racer fit" boots which are 2mm narrower than the standard S-Lab Pro Last. View our

Key Developments:
-
Power Hold System Strap - the addition of a micro-adjustable buckle across the forefoot provides perfect fit and stabilization of the forefoot, making the boot much more stable and tightening the control and feedback you get from your skis.
-
RS17 - the pivot point is moved back 7mm, or 17mm behind the original SNS Profil system, moving the skate push-off point closer to the ball of foot for greater power transfer and control.
-
Carbon Fiber Cuff - the New skate pro cuff makes the boot stiffer and lighter using carbon fiber to reinforce the Energyzer cuff.
-
Extended Carbon Chassis - the stiff carbon fiber heel cup of the S-Lab has been extended forward to give more stability and rigidity for the skate push.
We tested these boots hard this spring and were happy with the increased performance. The toe box and forefoot feel wider than the previous generation S-Lab, but the power strap allows fine adjustment so that even though there appears to be more volume, the fit is far more precise, and control and power are increased. Beware of overtightening the power strap!
From Salomon:
Micro-adjustable fit combined with enveloping carbon cradle and cuff delivers more precision, direct power transmission, quicker reaction times and precise lateral support. World Cup proven skate boot with RS17 Underfoot Technology.
