One of Salomon's most popular boots, it works well for a variety of uses. It's a common boot for high school skiers wanting an affordable, but high-quality racing boot for both skating and classic, classic skiers who want a little extra support also like this. Sometimes it works well as a light backcountry touring boot as well that can cross over to the trails.
The Pro Combi tends toward the skating side of things, so if you will be doing mostly classic, you may want to consider something a little softer. But a lot of people like it as a classic boot with more support, so it certainly works well for that.
