Skating Skis have unique requirements because they glide during the push phase. The bridge (middle section) has to hold you off the snow as you push on the ski, providing lateral stability, yet enough edge bite to keep the ski tracking straight. The skis have to run fast and have high top-end speed, but they also need to release the snow at the end of each push and have quick acceleration under high loads.
Matching ski flex to the skier and snow conditions is the most important factor for having fast skis, which is why we hand-select all of our top-level racing skis at the Factories in Europe and the warehouses in the US. This ensures that we are picking the highest-quality inventory and that we are choosing the perfect fit from each customer from a huge selection of skis, not just a few that we have in the shop.
