ROSSIGNOL X-IUM CLASSIC WORLD CUP SERVICE (WCS)—BNS Hand-Selected—NEW
new X-ium Classic WCS lineup for 2014-2015 doesn’t change quite as much
as the skate skis, but refinements abound nonetheless. Refinements
across the board give all models more strength to the front of the kick
pocket, improving glide while still keeping kick accessible. These skis
feel great on the snow: light and snappy with accessible kick, quick
acceleration and glide. Like the skate models, the X-ium Classic WCS is
divided into three models:
C1: For colder, hardwax
conditions. This model features a low camber height combined with a new
base structure and new Bi-Edge technology providing a longer camber
pocket with a specialized kick zone for a stronger, easier kick.
A universal classic ski that can be used for a broad range of
conditions. Like the other X-ium WCS Classic skis, these feature a Nomex
Honeycomb core, Control Edge ABS sidewalls and Bi-Edge technology.
White Base: The C3 White Base has a taller camber height that is
designed for use with klister wax. The white base improves performance
dramatically when compared to traditional black graphite base materials
in specific wet conditions. Ideal for old, dirty snow with glazing
conditions but also great in new or old glazing snow. When white bases
run, they can be a game changer. When picking skis this summer, Nathan
found a batch of these skis that he is very excited about. Be sure to
call about these early in the season as quantities are limited and
expected to go fast.
